Chicken Cheese Melt Away Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. elbow macaroni
    butter
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. cooked, diced chicken
    4 slices cheese
Preparation
    Cook macaroni and drain.
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Add onion and cook over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add milk gradually and cook until thickened.
    Place half macaroni in greased 2-quart casserole dish and half chicken over macaroni.
    Repeat.
    Arrange cheese on top, pour sauce over casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
