Date Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped fine
    1 1/2 c. graham crackers, crushed fine
    1 1/2 c. dates, chopped
    1 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    2 1/4 tsp. vanilla
    6 eggs, beaten separately
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter until light.
    Add egg yolks, flour, baking powder, cracker crumbs, chopped nuts, dates and vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans.
    Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Check for doneness.
    Put together with whipped cream.
