Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter or 2 sticks margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon
    3 c. sifted plain flour
    pinch of salt
    1 c. sweet milk
    6 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and lemon extract and blend well.
    Add eggs, one at a time and continue beating after each addition.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add alternating to creamed mixture with milk.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0 or until cake tests done.
