Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter or oleo
    3 c. white sugar
    6 egg yolks
    2 oz. bottle lemon extract
    3 Tbsp. wine or fruit juice
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 lb. white raisins
    8 oz. candied cherries
    8 oz. candied pineapple
    1 qt. pecans
    pinch of salt
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add lemon extract and wine or fruit juice.
    Combine flour and soda.
    Coat fruit and pecans with flour mixture; add butter and sugar mixture.
    Add six egg whites, which have been stiffly beaten.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for about 1 1/2 hours. Makes 3 loaf pans.
