Caramel Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

1 regular size German chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. margarine
1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
1/3 c. milk
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Melt margarine, caramels and milk together; set aside.
Mix cake mix according to directions.
Pour 1/2 the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Pour the caramel mixture over the top.
Spread chocolate chips and nuts over the top of caramel mixture.
Pour the other 1/2 of the batter over the top.
Bake for 20 minutes at 250\u00b0, then for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
