Light Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. warm water
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 pkg. yeast
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. soft shortening
    4 c. unbleached white flour
Preparation
    Proof the yeast in the water and a little of the sugar.
    Add the rest of the ingredients except for 2 cups of flour.
    Beat well. Add the remaining two cups of flour.
    Mix until very smooth and velvety.
    Scrape down the sides of the bowl, cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place until double in bulk.
