Baked French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 stick butter
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup (light or dark)
    1 loaf French bread
    5 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Baking dishes:
    Use either 1 (9 x 13-inch) or 2 (8 x 8-inch) dishes.
