Pork Chops Indonesian With Rice - cooking recipe

6 (1-inch) pork chops
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. ginger (optional)
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 green pepper, finely sliced in strips
Preparation

In skillet, brown chops in oil.
Remove and drain fat.
Drain peaches and reserve syrup.
Blend syrup, sugar, onion, soy sauce, ginger, mustard and garlic powder.
Add syrup mixture to chops. Cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes.
Add green pepper strips and peaches.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Serve over rice.
Makes 6 servings.
