Edwin Barker'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 ripe banana, mashed
    1/2 lb. dates, cut up
    1/2 lb. pineapple preserves (or peach)
    8 oz. bottle cherries
    3 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Bake in angel food pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    (Be sure oven is not too hot.)
