Black Walnut Chess - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pie shell (unbaked; regular)
1 stick softened margarine
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation

Beat butter and sugar in bowl. Add flour, salt, egg yolks and milk; beat with mixer until well mixed. Stir in vanilla and walnuts. Pour mixture into chilled pie shell. Bake on lower shelf of 375\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes, until center is almost set but still soft. Cool thoroughly on wire rack.
