Beef-Barley-Kale Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 lb. beef, cut small
    8 c. beef broth
    1 c. barley
    8 oz. sliced mushrooms
    10 oz. chopped kale
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in oil.
    In a large pot, combine broth and barley and cook for 1 hour along with beef and onions.
    In last 5 minutes, add the kale and mushrooms.
    On one occasion, I added a tablespoon sesame oil and that was interesting.
    I usually try to use fresh kale, stem and all.
