Ham 'N' Cheese Potato Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. minced onion
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
few twists freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. instant nonfat dry milk powder*
4 medium potatoes (about 2 lb.), pared and thinly sliced
2 to 3 c. diced, cooked smoked ham
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Melt butter in medium saucepan.
Add onion and cook, stirring, until tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper until blended.
Gradually stir in milk and dry milk powder.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens.
In 2-quart greased casserole, layer half the potatoes, ham cubes and sauce.
Repeat layers and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake covered 45 minutes.
Uncover and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer, or until potatoes are tender.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
