Ingredients

1 c. margarine, softened
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Mix margarine, sugars and egg thoroughly.
Stir in flour, soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by 1/4 cup about 3-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until edges are set, 12 to 15 minutes.
(Centers will be soft.)
Cool before removing from cookie sheet.
Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
