Pork Bar-B-Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. pork, cut into bite size strips or chunks
2 Tbsp. oil
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can onion soup (not cream of onion soup)
2 1/4 c. water, divided
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
3 c. chopped cabbage
1 c. thinly sliced carrots
1/2 c. green pepper strips
3 c. prepared barbecue sauce
Preparation

In a heavy Dutch oven or soup pot, lightly brown the pork in the oil.
Add the onion soup, 1 1/4 cups water, lemon juice and salt.
Simmer, covered, for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Add cabbage, carrots, green pepper strips and barbecue sauce with additional 1 cup water.
Cover and increase heat to medium.
Continue cooking for about 15 minutes longer or until mixture is slightly thickened.
