Wonderful Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 eggs
    1/3 c. sugar, maple syrup or honey
    1 tsp. vanilla
    nutmeg (if desired)
    1 qt. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat the milk, sweetening and salt.
    Stir the hot milk slowly into the lightly beaten eggs.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour the mixture into custard cups.
    Bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) in pan of water (1-inch).
    Bake until the custards are set or when the blade of a knife comes out clean.
    Remove from hot water immediately.
    Serve hot or cold.
