Shipwreck Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium white potatoes, sliced thin
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    1 can kidney beans, drain off juice
    1 lb. ground beef, browned and grease drained off
    1 large can tomato sauce
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Layer potatoes, onion, meat, beans, salt and pepper in casserole dish, until nearly full.
    Pour tomato sauce over all. Cover and bake 1 hour in slow oven (250\u00b0 to 300\u00b0).
    Uncover and bake 1/2 hour longer.
    Serve piping hot as one dish meal with a salad.
