Rum Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. chocolate cake mix*
    1 pkg. (4 serving size) chocolate instant pudding and pie filling
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. dark rum (80 proof)
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 c. oil
    1/2 c. slivered almonds (optional)
Preparation
    *If using cake mix with pudding already in mix; omit instant pudding, use only 3 eggs and only 1/3 cup oil.
