Caramel Pear Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can pears
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 1/2 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Drain pears and reserve syrup.
    Finely dice pears.
    Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar until light.
    Blend in eggs and vanilla.
    Sift in flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Add 1/2 cup pear syrup.
    Stir in pears, raisins and walnuts.
