Microwaving Chateau-Spiced Brandy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 orange, sliced
    8 whole cloves
    2 sticks cinnamon
    1 qt. Burgundy wine
Preparation
    In medium bowl, combine sugar, water, cloves, orange slices and cinnamon sticks.
    Microwave at High for 8 minutes or until boiling.
    Strain into punch bowl.
    Stir in wine.
    Garnish with additional cinnamon sticks and orange slices.
    Yields 6 cups.
