Never Fail Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. Crisco shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    5 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Mix salt and flour, then cut in shortening.
    Add egg and water and mix well.
    Divide dough into 3 parts.
    Roll very thin.
    Let stand 20 minutes.
    Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
    Drop into boiling broth and cook 20 to 30 minutes.
