Dutch Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    6 medium potatoes, diced
    3/4 lb. (1 1/2 to 1 3/4 c.) small curd cottage cheese
    1 Tbsp. chives
    chopped parsley
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1/4 tsp. cumin
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil in large kettle.
    Add cumin and chives. Boil potatoes in just enough water to cover them.
    Simmer until tender.
    Add milk to onion; bring just to a boil.
    Add cooked potatoes.
    Stir in cottage cheese.
    Top with chopped parsley.
