    pastry for a 9-inch double-crust pie (1 pkg. Pillsbury pie crust)
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    2 medium carrots, diced
    1 large potato, peeled and diced
    1 medium onion, diced
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. beef stock
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    3 Tbsp. each: fresh basil and marjoram or 1 tsp. each dried
