Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted cake flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. egg whites (12)
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Sift cake flour and 3/4 cup sugar, 4 times.
    In a large bowl, beat egg whites, cream of tartar, salt and vanilla until stiff enough to hold soft peaks.
    Add remaining sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating after each addition. Continue beating until meringue holds stiff peaks.
    Sift about 1/4 of flour mixture over egg whites mixture.
    Fold in gently with spatula.
    Fold in remaining flour by fourths.
    Carefully pour into ungreased tube pan.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes until top springs back. Cool completely with pan inverted upside down.
