Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. black-eyed peas
    2 large onions, diced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    29 oz. tomato sauce
    3 qt. water
    3 carrots, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Soak beans as
    directed
    on package.
    Drain most of the water after soaking.
    Add rest of the ingredients, bringing to a boil, then simmer for at least 3 hours.
