Batterway Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
    2 pkg. Red Star special active dry yeast
    4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
Preparation
    Pour warm water in large mixing bowl; add yeast.
    Let stand a few minutes; stir to dissolve.
    Add half the flour, sugar, salt, shortening and egg.
    Start mixer on medium speed and beat until smooth 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
    Stop mixer.
    Add rest of flour and stir by hand until flour disappears.
    Scrape batter down from sides of bowl.
    Cover bowl with waxed paper and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes.
