Double Boiler Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    3 slices bread
    1/2 c. raisins
    2 eggs
    2 c. milk
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Put sugar in top of double boiler; add bread which has been toasted, buttered and cubed.
    Add raisins.
    Beat eggs slightly; add milk and salt.
    Pour over other ingredients without stirring. Cover and put over bottom of double boiler which is half full of water; cook 1 hour with water gently boiling.
    Brown sugar makes a sauce.
    Very good served warm.
