Batter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 large can evaporated milk
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. warm water
    3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl; stir in ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar.
    Let stand in warm place until mixture begins to bubble.
    Add remaining sugar, oil, milk, salt and 3 cups flour.
    Beat at medium speed of electric mixer or by hand until smooth.
    Pour on floured board and knead lightly.
    Divide dough in 2 balls.
    Place in greased 1 pound coffee can.
    Place greased plastic lid on and let dough raise until top pops off.
