Ingredients

1 (3 3/4 oz.) pkg. chocolate pudding (not instant)
1 3/4 c. milk
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine milk and pudding mix in saucepan.
Cook over medium heat until mixture begins to boil, stirring constantly.
Cook 5 minutes, then add cream cheese.
Continue cooking, beating until well blended.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour into a lightly oiled 1-quart mold or dish.
Place wax paper on top.
Chill until firm. Unmold (if desired).
May be served with Cool Whip and nuts.
