Banana Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. milk, scalded
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 bananas, sliced
Preparation
    Combine butter, sugar, salt, flour and eggs.
    Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
    Cook over hot water until thick and smooth. Add flavoring and let cool, then add bananas. Pour into baked pastry shell.
    Cool.
    Serve with whipped cream.
