Oven Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. round steak (3/4-inch thick)
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 medium tomatoes
1/2 c. beef broth
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. carrots
1/4 c. onion
1 tsp. Worcestershire
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
Preparation

Cut meat into 4 portions.
Divide flour into equal portions, combine 1 portion with salt and set aside 2 tablespoons.
Pound remaining flour into meat; brown on both sides in heated oil. Place meat in baking dish; blend reserved flour with drippings in skillet; add tomatoes, broth, celery, carrots, onion and Worcestershire.
Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Pour over meat; cover and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until meat is tender (1 to 2 hours).
Melt cheese on top.
