Creole Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. sliced mushrooms
2 c. canned tomatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 to 3 drops Tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp. basil
Preparation

Heat oil; cook onion, green pepper and mushrooms over low heat about 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes and seasonings; cook until sauce is thick, about 40 minutes.
Use with meat, fish or poultry.
Yield: about 2 1/2 cups.
