Escalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. minced onion
    2 1/4 c. bread crumbs
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (12 oz.) can tomatoes
Preparation
    In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, melt margarine and saute onion until tender.
    Stir in bread crumbs, sugar, salt and pepper.
    Arrange a layer of tomatoes in 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Top with onion and bread crumbs.
    Repeat layers until all is used, ending with crumbs. Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
