Atheroma Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. thinly sliced sweet onions
    1/3 c. butter
    1/4 c. cooking sherry
    2 c. shredded Jarlsberg cheese
    1 1/4 c. mayo
    1 Tbsp. ground pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    large round French or Italian bread, hollowed out
    paprika
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter until transparent (DO NOT BROWN).
    Add sherry and cook until reduced.
    Mix cooked onions with cheese, mayo, pepper and garlic salt.
    Bake in an 8X8 glass dish at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
    Pour mixture into hollowed round bread, sprinkle with paprika and broil 2 minutes.
    Serve with crackers and bread.
    Serves 10-12.
