Best-Ever Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small to medium head cabbage, shredded
    1 chopped green pepper
    1 chopped onion or minced onion
    1/3 to 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. vinegar
    3/8 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Sprinkle the sugar over the cabbage, green pepper and onion. Bring the remaining ingredients to a boil and pour while hot over the cabbage mixture. Cover. Cool and refrigerate overnight.
    Makes 1 quart.
