Mexican Cornbread Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. jalapeno pepper, chopped
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. cream style corn
    2/3 c. milk
    1 6.5 oz. pkg. cornbread mix
    4 slices American cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
    Brown ground meat, drain.
    Add onion and pepper, set aside.
    Combine eggs, 1 cup corn and milk with cornbread mix.
    Stir just till dry ingredients are moistened. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased 9 inch square pan.
    Top with beef mixture, cheese slices and remaining cup of corn.
    Pour remaining 1/2 of batter on top and bake 25 to 30 minutes.
