Beets With Pineapple - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sliced beets
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Drain beets (if fresh, cook).
    In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch and dash of salt. Stir in undrained pineapple. Cook and stir until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more.
    Add butter, lemon juice and beets.
    Cook and stir over medium heat about 5 minutes or until heated through.
