Ellen'S Holiday Egg Nog - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. bourbon (can use brandy or rum)
1 qt. heavy cream (four 1/2 pt.)
3 c. half and half
freshly grated nutmeg or cinnamon
Preparation

Beat eggs in a large bowl, gradually adding sugar until thick and light (about 5 minutes). Stir in liquor.
Beat heavy cream in a large chilled mixing bowl. Gently fold into egg mixture. Stir in half and half. Chill in tightly covered bowl. Sprinkle nutmeg on top of egg nog before serving.
