Sour Cream Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    3 (3 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
    1/2 c. dairy sour cream
    1 c. cold water
Preparation
    Grease and lightly flour 2 (8 x 1 1/2-inch) or (9 x 1 1/2-inch) round baking pans.
    Stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
    In a mixer bowl, beat shortening on medium speed of an electric mixer for 30 seconds.
    Add sugar and vanilla; beat to combine well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 1 minute after each.
    Stir in cooled chocolate and sour cream.
    Add dry ingredients and cold water alternately to beaten mixture, beating on low speed.
    Turn into pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cook 10 minutes in wire racks.
    Makes 12 servings.
