Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. milk, scalded (skim)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 unbaked pie shell
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix together eggs, salt and sugar.
    Scald milk; let stand and skim.
    Pour into egg mixture; add vanilla and nutmeg.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Sprinkle nutmeg on top, also.
    Bake 10 minutes in 450\u00b0 hot oven; turn down to 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes more, or until knife comes out clean.
