Strawberry Batter Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pt. strawberries
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. melted butter

Preparation

Wash and drain berries and press through ricer.
You can use potato masher.
Mix and sift dry ingredients.
Combine with egg, milk and butter.
Pour into 9-inch square pan and bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Use berries on top of cake.
Can use milk over all for shortcake dessert.
