Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow squash, sliced and cooked
    1 c. American cheese
    1 c. bread crumbs, softened in 1 c. scalded milk
    1 c. green peppers and onions, sauteed in 3 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 well-beaten eggs
    salt and pepper to taste (can add sugar)
    crumbled crisp bacon for top
Preparation
    Beat eggs.
    Add cheese; mix and add milk and bread crumbs. Cool slightly.
    Mix; add onions, green peppers and squash.
    Mix. Put in well-greased 2-quart casserole; sprinkle bacon on top. Cook 45 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
