Old Fashion Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. soda
    3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs and blend well. Stir soda into buttermilk and add to creamed mixture alternately with flour. Blend well after each addition. Bake in layers at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. The batter fits into three 9-inch pans or four 8-inch pans. Frost with Mile High cake icing.
