Busy-Day Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Grease and lightly flour a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
In a small mixer bowl, combine all ingredients and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Beat 2 minutes on medium speed.
Turn into pan.
Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Cool.
Serves 9.
