Apple-Bavarian Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. (1 stick) well chilled butter, cut into small pieces
Preparation
    For Crust:
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine flour, sugar and vanilla in medium bowl.
    Cut in butter, using pastry blender, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Press into bottom and sides of 10-inch spring-form pan.
    Bake until golden, about 10 minutes.
    Cool to room temperature.
    Increase oven temperature to 450\u00b0.
