Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. meat (pork and beef)
    3 doz. oysters
    1/2 loaf French bread
    8 oz. chicken livers
    1 large onion
    1 sweet pepper
    3 sticks celery (leaves and all)
    3 pods garlic
    3 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    4 shallots (green tops)
Preparation
    Grind or chop seasonings.
    Drain oysters and keep water.
    Soak bread in oyster water.
    Use a small amount of cooking oil in pot and add everything except bread and oysters.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring often until grease rises to top (about 40 minutes). Squeeze bread and add to mixture.
    Let cook down.
    Chop and add oysters. Add parsley and shallots.
    Cook on low fire until oysters are done (not long).
