Congo Cookie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter
    1 box brown sugar (light)
    3 eggs, beaten
    2 3/4 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    1 pkg. chocolate chips
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter; add sugar. Cool. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 225\u00b0 for 30 minutes in 9 x 13-inch pan. Cool. Cut into bars.
