Apple Crunch Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1-1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 c. shredded, unpeeled apple
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients for muffins. Cut in shortening. Mix in egg and milk. Stir in shredded apple. Do not overmix (batter should be lumpy). Pour batter into 12 greased muffin tins. Mix the brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon for the crunch topping; sprinkle over the muffins. Bake at 400\u00b0F. for about 25 minutes.
