Cabbage Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage, grated
    1 onion, sliced thin
    7/8 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. Wesson oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. dry mustard
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Alternate layers of cabbage and onion in a bowl.
    Sprinkle 7/8 cup sugar.
    Mix vinegar, oil, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, mustard and celery seed.
    Bring to boil.
    Pour over cabbage while still boiling and let stand 4 to 6 hours.
    Put in covered bowl and refrigerate.
