Praline Brunch Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 eggs
    1 1/2 c. half and half
    3/4 c. and 1 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
    2 tsp. vanilla
    8 (3/4-inch thick) slices sourdough bread
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. maple syrup
    3/4 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation
    In a bowl, thoroughly blend eggs, half and half, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and vanilla.
    Pour half of egg mixture into 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Place bread slices in mixture, trimming to fit, if necessary.
    Pour remaining egg mixture over bread.
    Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
