Chess Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box brown sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. white sugar
    2 sticks oleo
    2 c. sifted plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Beat whites stiff.
    Melt oleo.
    Add sugars and cream.
    Add egg yolks, cream again.
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
    Add flour to oleo and sugars.
    Add vanilla.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Add nuts.
    Grease and flour oblong cake pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
